Safety Education Programs
This form is intended for organizations, departments, student groups, residence halls, and other groups of 11 or more participants interested in scheduling a private self-defense class with UCFPD. If you are an individual looking to attend a scheduled self-defense class, please register here rather than submitting this form.
This course primarily focuses on mindset, preparation and safety awareness, but also utilizes defensive tactics instructors certified by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to demonstrate basic physical defense techniques. Our courses are designed to provide attendees with information tactics and options which we believe may be useful for various crimes perpetrated against victims.
Protect yourself from prevalent scams impacting the UCF community. The UCF Police Department invites all students, faculty, and staff to an information session. You’ll learn about common fraudulent schemes, see real examples, and discover prevention strategies. Resources will be highlighted to help protect yourself and contribute to a safer environment.
Dedicated to the safety of the UCF community, this presentation will inform and educate on the dangers of impaired driving and the resulting consequences. We will examine what constitutes a DUI in Florida and the methods law enforcement employ during investigations. This session is designed to be informative and show the serious risks of driving impaired.
UCF Police Officers will host this training and share best practices when responding to an active threat, such as how to prepare, what to do in the event of a threat, and ways to defend yourself.
This assessment consists of 3 tiers:
- Tier 1 is the Active Threat Presentation.
- Tier 2 is a complete building walkthrough with the Department of Emergency Management to discuss/implement safety contingency plans.
- Tier 3 is a safety scenario to practice implemented contingencies.3. Tier 3 is a follow-up assessment to evaluate the effectiveness of the implemented safety measures and make necessary adjustments.
Presentations on general safety topics, careers in law enforcement, and other safety-related subjects not covered by the programs listed above. After submitting a request, an officer will contact you to discuss your request and determine whether the presentation can be accommodated.
