About Us

UCFPD’s Explorer Program is an opportunity for high school and college students to learn more about a career in law enforcement. Explorers will participate in weekly meetings, special events, and ride-alongs, and complete training in various policing fields. Explorer Post 823 operates under the national framework of Learning for Life and the Boy Scouts of America’s Law Enforcement Exploring program, providing young adults with an authentic, hands-on experience in law enforcement and public safety alongside UCF Police Department officers and staff.
