Suspicious Incident Reported on Campus

Posted January 23, 2018

The UCF Police Department alerts you an attempted battery that took place on campus last night.

A female student reported that an unknown male approached her around 6 p.m. inside of Garage C and asked for assistance with his vehicle. He then reached over in an attempt to touch her leg. She screamed, and he ran away.

The woman immediately contacted police. She described the man as a 5'7 thin, dark-skinned male with glasses who was wearing a gray sweater and dark pants. She said he appeared college-aged and spoke with an accent.

This description and the circumstances closely match two similar incidents that happened at UCF within the past month and a half.

UCFPD asks for the campus' continued support in sharing information related to these incidents. Protecting campus is our top priority, and coming forward with any details you've seen or heard assists us with keeping you safe.

Remember, if you see activity that looks suspicious, say something. UCFPD can be reached 24/7 by calling 407-823-5555 or 911 in an emergency.
