With crimes such as sexual assault, stalking and domestic violence on the rise nationally, it’s especially important for college students to know how to prevent and respond to those threats. Education is the best defense in many cases, which is why for the past three years the University of Central Florida has required new students to complete an online sexual assault prevention program.

As new and returning Knights start Summer B classes this week, the UCF Police Department reminds them to prioritize safety, just as students prioritize academics, extracurricular activities and socializing with friends. UCF police officers patrol campus 24 hours a day, 365 days a year with a focus on student safety and crime prevention.
