Weekend Traffic Impact

Posted September 15, 2016

Those on campus Thursday through Sunday should anticipate road closures, garage shut downs, and extra traffic due to several events.

UCF will host the IGNITE gala at the CFE Arena Friday night, UCF vs. Maryland at Bright House Networks Stadium Saturday night, and Meghan Trainor at the CFE Arena Sunday night.

Gemini Boulevard between North Orion Boulevard and Garage H will be closed from 7  to 11 p.m. Thursday, and again from about 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. Friday. Gemini Boulevard between East and West Plaza drives will be closed Saturday for gameday and again between 6 and 11 p.m. Sunday for the concert.

To accommodate IGNITE, Garage D also will close at 11 p.m. Thursday. Vehicles parked in the garage overnight will be subject to towing Friday morning.

For gameday, vehicles parked overnight in garages C, D, F and H will be subject to towing beginning at 5 a.m. Saturday. Towing also will be enforced in parking lots B4, B7, C2, C3, D1, D2, and E1 through E8.

Additional information about gameday parking is available here: http://ucfknights.com/sports/2016/7/7/bhns-travel-and-parking.aspx

To expedite postgame traffic, North Orion Boulevard will only be open to traffic traveling from Gemini Boulevard to McCulloch Road starting at 8:30 p.m. until postgame traffic is cleared. Vehicles will not be able to enter campus from McCulloch Road during that time. This is likely to impact students living in Towers III and IV and parking in Garage E, so they should plan accordingly.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding during this busy weekend. Go Knights!
