The Safe Escort Patrol Service, or SEPS, is a free service provided by the UCF Police Department seven days a week while classes are in session.
SEPS is available from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m., and a safe escort can be arranged by calling 407-823-2424.
SEPS drivers are vetted by UCFPD and operate out of the police department. Our priority is to keep everyone on campus safe, and SEPS provides a "buddy system" to ensure that people on campus don't have to walk alone at night.
SEPS ridership doubled in 2015, serving nearly 14,500 students, faculty and staff members and campus visitors.
UCFPD challenges you to help us beat that in 2016 by using SEPS. We encourage you to program the SEPS number into your phone, especially with final exams and the potential for late-night studying around the corner. SEPS will extend its hours to 3 a.m. starting Tuesday, April 26, to accommodate students studying for finals.
As always, stay aware of your surroundings, and contact police if you see activity that seems suspicious. Call UCFPD at 407-823-5555, use one of the more than 200 blue light phones spread across campus, or dial 911 for a crime in progress.
