Saturday's Heart Walk: Traffic and Parking Impact

Posted November 2, 2018

The American Heart Association's Heart Walk will be held at UCF Saturday, Nov. 3. Festivities will begin at 7:30 a.m. on Memory Mall. Participants can park in garages C, D or H.

The following roads will be closed from 7:30 a.m. until approximately 10 a.m.: the two inside lanes of the Gemini Boulevard loop; portions of North Orion Boulevard; the two inside lanes of Greek Park Drive; and all of East and West Plaza Drives.

Those traveling to and from campus on Saturday morning should expect large crowds and delays.

The two outside lanes of the Gemini Boulevard loop and Greek Park Drive will remain open to traffic, with all traffic moving one way in a counterclockwise direction.

>From approximately 7 to 10:30 a.m., vehicles will not be able to enter or leave all parking areas inside of the Gemini Boulevard loop and along East and West Plaza Drives. This includes most parking garages (only the Libra Garage will remain accessible), all C and D lots, most H lots and several B lots.

If you must leave campus between 7 and 10:30 a.m., please park your vehicle ahead of time in the Libra Garage or in one of these lots: B5-B8, located along Gemini Boulevard South near Central Florida Boulevard; B12 and B15, located along Libra Drive; or H10, located adjacent to Lake Claire on Gemini Boulevard North.

If you will be arriving on campus between 7 and 10:30 a.m., please plan on parking in the Libra Garage or in one of the lots listed above.

Students and staff and faculty members who are participating in the Heart Walk are encouraged to arrive before 7:30 a.m. and should park in garages C, D or H.

Portions of the Heart Walk route will reopen as soon as it is safe to do so. We expect campus traffic and parking to return to normal no later than 10:30 a.m.

Thank you for your cooperation!
