Road Closures Near Main Campus

Posted October 19, 2018

The UCF community should prepare for partial road closures this weekend on University Boulevard and Rouse Road due to construction.

Repairs to the sewer system located within the intersection of University Boulevard and Rouse Road will take place between the hours of 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, and 4 a.m. Monday, Oct. 22.

Road closures and other impacts to traffic will include:

-- Eastbound traffic on University Boulevard will not be able to turn left onto Rouse Road.

-- Westbound traffic on University Boulevard will not be able to cross Rouse Road. Local traffic will still be able to travel westbound on University Boulevard to access businesses east of Rouse Road.

-- Traffic on Rouse Road going southbound toward University Boulevard will not be able to turn left onto University Boulevard going eastbound, but will be able to cross over the intersection going southbound and will be able to turn right onto University Boulevard heading westbound.

-- Northbound traffic on Rouse Road approaching University Boulevard will not be able to cross over University Boulevard. Traffic must either turn eastbound or westbound onto University Boulevard.

It is anticipated that this project will require additional weekends of work and road closures. A notice of those dates and the impacts to traffic will be provided when confirmed.
