Game Day Security Reminder

Posted September 21, 2018

The UCF Police Department is asking for your help in keeping UCF a safe and secure campus on game days.

UCF is hosting two weeknight football games and five Saturday games this season, bringing thousands of fans and significant activity to campus. Portions of campus that are not a part of game day activities-such as classroom and office buildings-are not open to the public.

Police lock down buildings on game days, but some faculty and staff members may have some access to these buildings as part of their job responsibilities.

As much as possible, we ask our faculty and staff members to minimize their use of these buildings during the game day operational period.

This will reduce the likelihood of unwanted people inside of our buildings. If you must utilize these buildings during game days, please be cautious of holding the door open for people you do not know.

UCFPD recommends that you regularly secure your personal office space and lock any individual office doors when you exit, and this advice is also especially important on game days.

Thank you for your cooperation, and Charge On!
