in The Golden Rule student handbook. Victims of acts of sexual misconduct
may report these incidents to the UCF Police at (407) 823-5555,
to the Office of Student Conduct at (407) 823-2851, or to the UCF
Victim Services Office at (407) 823-6069.
Students
charged with violations of "The Rules of Conduct" as stated
in The Golden Rule will be given adequate notice of the charges
and complaints against them and will be provided an opportunity
to respond to these charges in a formal disciplinary hearing. Victims
of sexual misconduct will be given the opportunity to speak to the
circumstances surrounding the charges during this hearing and will
be given the opportunity to offer comments regarding the sanctions
imposed upon the charged student, should that student be found to
have been in violation of university policies. In cases where an
alleged offender's behavior poses a threat to the university community,
the Director of Student Rights and Responsibilities, or designee,
may immediately and summarily suspend the student from the university
until a hearing can be convened to either confirm or cancel that
immediate and summary suspension.
Both the alleged victim and the alleged offender will be given the

hearing, and both will be informed of the decision and any sanctions
of the disciplinary hearing. Students found to have been in violation

university. University disciplinary proceeding may be held in instances
involved alleged sexual misconduct even when formal charges under
state law are not brought in the sate courts. Complete information
